Soursop Annona muricata
The soursop tree is a flowering evergreen with broad leaves. It produces a fruit often touted as
a natural remedy for cancer, as well as for other medical conditions. The shape of the fruit varies and can grow to the size of a watermelon. It is dark green in the beginning, and then lightens into a yellowish-green color when ripe. The skin is spiny and leathery, and the flesh soft when ripe.

PROPERTIES AND USE:
Anti-inflammatory, antitumor, hypoglycemic, sedative, antibacterial, nervine, antiparasitic, hypotensive, antiviral, antispasmodic, digestive, vermifuge, febrifuge, emetic (in large doses), insecticidal. Used to boost endocrine and thyroid activity. It is also used for cancer, and conditions of the bladder, pancreas, and kidneys.
TRADITIONAL PREPARATION:
For all conditions, peel and eat the fruit. One-half cup per day is recommended. To make an infusion, pour boiling water over 1 leaf. Steep for 10 minutes, and then drink warm. Drink 3 cups per day. The standard dosage for capsules or tablets is 2 grams three times per day.
